A private watermark costs less than you may think. There is a modest one-time charge for preparing the dandy roll or Customark plate
- both of which can be used again. Here are some factors that may affect the overall price.
When making your decision on the type of private watermark best suited for your needs, you should consider the variables that will affect cost.
The type of watermark process you choose will affect the cost. Depending on your needs, each has cost benefits. A Genuine watermark, with its one-time investment of the dandy roll, is recommended for larger quantities. Our innovative Customark process is ideal for ordering watermarked paper in smaller quantities. Tai Tak Takeo Fine Paper Co Ltd sales representative can help you determine the best process for you based on your needs.

Dandy Roll and Customark Rubber Plate One-Time Charge
. |
Once the initial charge of the dandy roll or Customark rubber plate is covered, you may use it again and again. We will even store it for you at our mill at no charge. And there is no charge for creating a dandy roll if you order a minimum quantity of 5,000 kgs or 10,000 lbs of paper.
Generally, large quantities will bring some economies of scale. We usually recommend choosing the Customark process for smaller quantities. While the Genuine watermark process requires a higher minimum order, it may hold some cost efficiencies as quantity increases. Please consult your local sales representative on determining your paper quantity needs.
Your paper choice will affect the cost. Fox River's watermarking grades include 100% and 25% cotton-content papers, 100%, 50%, 30% and 20% recycled-content papers and an innovative tree-free premium writing paper made from 100% bamboo pulp. With varying minimum quantities, a variety of colors, finishes and basis weights can be manufactured with a watermark. For the complete selection of paper choices, please contact us.
Fox River can produce a watermark on virtually any finish, but keep in mind that there will be an additional charge for laid papers.
Although specific situations may differ, your choice of where, and how many times your watermark appears on the finished sheet can be a cost consideration. A watermark placed in a random fashion is generally the most economical choice, while a watermark placed in a predetermined location or multiple times on the finished sheet may increase the cost.
